Abstract

In this report we will learn about what is the programmed logical control (plc) ; also we will talk about the advantages and disadvantages of this system and the sequence that is inside it then we will mention some of the applications and not all of the applications because its applications are very many this research is not enough for us

Introduction and Research Objectives

Nowadays, the PLCs have substituted most of the control elements used to conduct the device logic. The word logic is used because the programming relates primarily to logic implementation and switching operations. Controlled input devices such as switches and output devices such as motors are connected to the PLC and then the controller monitors the machine or process inputs and outputs. PLCs were originally developed as a replacement for forward wired relay and timer logic control systems.(Hard cabling means all the components were connected manually by wires).Technological progress in recent years has led to the development of a programmable logic control unit (PLC) and a subsequent revolution in control engineering.

This research explains some applications to show the developed programs

To complete specific tasks. These include tasks that include filling bottles and operating the parking barrier using valves.  But before all this, several important elements must be known before speaking. Applications are the definition of programmatic logic control and its different types.

    Definition of PLC’s

PLC's can be defined as a digital electronic device that uses a programmable memory to store information (commands) that performs specific instructions (logical, sequential, time, numerical, and mathematical) to control industrial machinery and equipment

Advantages of PLC’s

Reliability.

The programming and reprogramming be Flexibility.

Cost-efficient to control complex systems.

Physical size small, project time shorter.

Fast Running speed.

Able to connect with the plant's computer systems.

Simple to manage/troubleshoot.

Reduced space.

saving energy

Less cabling.

In the PLC program, cabling between devices and relay contacts is done. Make improvements simpler and cheaper.

Helps to troubleshoot improve planning and reduce downtime.

Durable components allow such components possible to work for years before failure.

Disadvantages

PLC devices are proprietary, meaning that one manufacturer's part or software can not be used in combination with other manufacturer's parts.

Choice for small size and expense

fixed  Operations Chain.
